Founded in 1989 in Knoxfield, Tanya James School of Dance was built on core values of family, community, kindness, positivity and fun.

Tanya's vision has always been to:

• share her love and passion for dance,

• nurture, inspire and encourage young people to reach for their dreams,

• help students develop self-esteem and confidence to shine on stage. ​

Classes for all ages and interests

 

Our school offers classes for students aged 2 to Adult, in a range of dance styles, including: Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Classical Ballet, Contemporary and Acrobatics. 

​

Whether you're looking for an enjoyable hobby, recreational activity or aspiring to pursue a career in dance teaching, Tanya James School of Dance caters to all needs. We follow the State Dance Association (SDA) examination syllabus, providing pathways for those aiming to become dance educators.

​Tanya James School of Dance is a dedicated child safe organisation, fully compliant with the Victorian government's 11 Child Safe Standards ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every student.

We are so fortunate to based in the  Carrington Park Multipurpose Facility in Knoxfield at (directly behind Bunnings Scoresby). Our facilities include:

• Two dance studios with mirrors, air conditioning and heating

• A spacious foyer/waiting area with kitchen facilities

• Ample parking, a convenient drop-off zone, and an exercise park and playground just steps from our door.
